Grain Farmers of Ontario has launched a 10-part video series geared toward researchers, post-secondary educators, coverage makers, and college students acquire higher foundational data of grain farming in Ontario.
The Ontario Grain Farming 101 video series, accessible on YouTube, covers a variety of subjects together with farm enterprise administration, expertise utilized by farmers, sustainability initiatives practiced on Ontario grain farms, and extra.
“Research is vitally important for developing and introducing new innovation into agriculture. We want to ensure that research teams and policy makers have a resource that helps them understand the key decisions made by farmers. This video series will help bridge the gap between what goes on in the lab and what happens out in the field,” says Paul Hoekstra, vice chairman, strategic improvement, Grain Farmers of Ontario. “The goal of these videos is to help researchers understand the structure of Ontario grain farming operations and what factors into decision-making on the farm while keeping in mind that each operation is unique.”
