Solinftec — an agricultural digitalization firm that brings expertise and innovation to agricultural operaitons around the globe — is asserting its established operations in Canada.
To guide its growth effort in Canada, Solinftec named Leonardo Carvalho as head of enterprise improvement for Canadian operations, in Saskatoon, Sask.
Carvalho says they’re very excited to being part of the Canadian agriculture group.
“At Solinftec, we prioritize partnerships — collaborating on research and development with local ag leaders and growers wherever we go, especially when entering a new territory. Our expansion into Canada is no different,” he explains.
Initially based practically 15 years in the past in Brazil, Solinftec expanded operations into the US in 2018, establishing its North American headquarters in Indiana. With Solinftec’s growth into Canada, Coutts Agro Ltd., in Kindersley, Sask. would be the lead Canadian farm operation for Solinftec’s resolution in 2021.
Solinftec works with farmers and ag retailers to grasp their present workflow and companions with them to determine alternatives for higher effectivity, similar to streamlining the dispatching of machines in the sphere and offering reside insights for a complete fleet.
Matt Coutts, chief funding officer at Coutts Agro Ltd., says they’re at all times on the lookout for options that may enable them to function extra effectively and cut back their working threat.
“We studied Solinftec’s core market, Brazil, and it was immediately apparent that their agriculture industry is largely built on top of Solinftec’s products and vision. It is our desire to replicate a similar level of operating performance in Canada,” says Coutts. “Additionally, we found alignment with their customer centric approach to product development and longer-term goals to modernize agriculture with a twin focus on digital and ESG.”
Moreover, Solinftec is collaborating with native business leaders from the College of Saskatchewan and Ag-West Bio, Saskatchewan’s bioscience business affiliation.
